Jan Veselý (born April 24, 1990) is a Czech professional basketball player who plays for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). At 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m), 240 lbs. (108.9 kg), Veselý can play both the small forward and power forward positions. After deciding not to enter the 2010 NBA Draft, he was selected sixth in 2011 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards.

Throughout the forties and fifties primarily, Jan Vesely (1923 - 2003) was the Czech track and road cycling champion no less than 25 times. He also once won the 'Peace Race', an amateur cycling competition, with participants from all over the communist bloc.
